How we use your information.

Short, specific and written to be read.

Last updated 5 October 2026. This policy explains what Envirorank collects when you use this website or contact us, why, and what your rights are. Envirorank is a trading name of ITrades, Suite 2.5, North Tyneside Business Centre, Saville Street, North Shields, NE30 1NT. Email hello@envirorank.co.uk or call 0191 833 0123 with any question about your data.

What we collect and why

When you use the Four Stage Clearance

We ask for your name, business name, email address, phone number, website address and the type of contractor you are before the questions begin. These details are saved when you press continue, even if you do not finish, so that we can send your result and a personal review. We also record your answers and your score. We use this to send your result, to carry out the review we have promised and to follow up once by phone or email about how we might help.

When you send an enquiry

We collect the details you give in the form or by email or phone, and use them to reply to you about your enquiry.

When you browse the site

We measure how the site is used with Burst Statistics, which runs on our own server rather than a third-party service. It is set to cookieless mode: it does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not recognise you from one visit to the next. It records anonymous information such as the pages viewed, the site that referred you, your device and browser type and your approximate country, and whether the phone links and forms are used. None of it is sent to Google or any other analytics company.

Our web host and its security software keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, to protect the site against attacks. The fonts on this site are stored on our own server, so loading a page does not send your details to Google.

The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. No other page loads content from Google.

We do not sell data, run advertising networks on this site or share your details with anyone except the service providers listed below.

Our lawful basis

For the clearance check and enquiries, our basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us for a result or a reply, and following up on that request is what you would expect. For analytics, our basis is consent given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent or object to marketing at any time by emailing hello@envirorank.co.uk.

How long we keep it

Clearance check and enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Records relating to a paying client are kept for the length of the work and for six years afterwards for accounting purposes. Site statistics are kept as anonymous, aggregated figures. Server security logs are kept for a short period by our host and then deleted.

Who we share it with

Email delivery through Google Workspace, website hosting in the UK and EU, Google Maps for the map on our contact page, and Google Ads where a client asks us to manage a campaign in their own account. Site statistics are processed on our own server and are not shared. Each provider processes data on our instructions and under its own security obligations. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EU except where those providers do so under recognised safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@envirorank.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our statistics run without cookies. While you have the site open, your browser keeps a small temporary note, for example whether you have closed the website check prompt, which is deleted when you close the tab. If you are logged in to manage the site, WordPress uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. The Google Maps map on our contact page may set Google's own cookies, as described above.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use data already collected will be emailed to the people affected.
